Split second game front cover

I'm having the same problem. Restarting didn't help. And for some reason my car wont stop accelerating. Although I love this game to pieces, this game is pretty much broken.

I fixed it like 2 years ago and all i know is that i verified the cache from the local game files tab from the properties of the game. Either that works or try the solution from NikeNikki which is above this reply. You can also attempt to reinstall the game but not everyone have a good isp within the area.

That leads me to a conclusion: Whenever a control device is changed - for example a new keyboard connected, or a new controller is connected like a pad, the game requires one-time "run as administrator" to recognize and communicate with the input device. Otherwise it is reading incorrect input resulting in constantly looking backwards.
