Uninstall program with missing install.log file

Here's a picture. Hi abe I was curious so did a bit googling about your problem. Before you try any of the following i'd also backup all your stuff maybe even image the disk just to be safe It seems your problem is not uncommon.

It also seems the simplest remedy i saw posted was to manually run the unwise installer yourself to remove the program For instructions on youtube click HERE. Also see HERE. LOG File itself is missing and I can't find it. LOG File. LOG File could be created.

I'm going to try that now. Still having problems with Chikka Messenger though. The problem is no longer a problem. I had to reformat my laptop anyway so You must log in or register to reply here.

A lot of times the removal isn't complete until the machine is restarted. Also I lot of the uninstallers with those type of programs doesn't remove icons, and program main folder, since in reality you had to give it permission to make them.

After you remove icons, files, start menu, items - you might want to run regcleaner or JV This will clean out the items in the reg for you. Just be careful, you delete what you want to delete. Edited February 2, by RAH. Well you could use one of those removal tools. I haven't used them much and don't trust myself to tell if they are any good. I have used regcleaner and JV for the job. And I haven't destroyed my machine more than once or twice.

WhitPhil Gone but never forgotten Trusted Advisor. Joined Oct 4, Messages 8, As a note, the most likely reason for the LOG file missing, is that you have run a "Cleaning" program. Many have the LOG extension as one of the file types that they will detect and remove.

Some of these are "just" logfiles and can be removed. And some are UNinstall files that obviously can't be. As Seen On.
